Product Introduction

The color distillation tank is an essential piece of equipment for red grape juice production. Its primary function is to heat crushed grapes to 60-70°C for 15 minutes, which dissolves the natural grape pigments (anthocyanins) into the juice. This process is what gives red grape juice its characteristic deep, vibrant color and rich flavor profile.

The tank features a jacketed design that allows for uniform heating through either steam or electric heating systems. The temperature is precisely controlled with an accuracy of ±1°C to ensure optimal pigment extraction without degrading the sensitive anthocyanin compounds. An agitator ensures even heat distribution throughout the grape mash.

This step is optional for white grape juice production but essential for red grape juice. The tank is constructed from SUS 304 stainless steel and features insulation to minimize heat loss and improve energy efficiency. The conical bottom design ensures complete drainage of the heated grape mash.
